However what they didn’t know was the others were taking human form and they could have been anyone. Sam was taken along with the other children and Cassie was left alone to fend for herself. During this separation Cassie and her little brother Sam were separated as well. The Army claimed to be escorting the children to safety as they separated them from their parents, who would soon meet them after. There were earthquakes and tsunamis all across the globe wiping out a very large portion of the population. The others wiped out all electrical power on Earth. The others began staging attacks on Earth. A large spaceshuttle one day appeared in the sky and along with it came what was later known as the others.
